‘Role model’ Martin earns highest Scout honor
Ruben Martin might not have earned all the badges necessary to become an Eagle Scout, but his dedication to East Texas made him the top Scout.
Martin was presented with the Distinguished Citizens Good Turn Award on Thursday afternoon at the Pinecrest Country Club in Longview, with more than 600 peers, friends and officials in attendance to celebrate his accomplishment.
