TALA urges lawmakers to stop ADA lawsuit abuse.
Some personal injury lawyers exploit the American Disabilities Act (ADA) to shake down small businesses for cash settlements to avoid high cost court cases. The bills also propose to entrust the Attorney General with enforcement authority over bad faith ADA claims. Thus, protecting small business owners and protecting the well-meaning ADA law.
